Government grants agencies are available on the internet. The most famous of them all, Grants.gov, has the Department of Health and Human Services as a managing partner. They allow people access to 26 different federal grant-making agencies through the E-Government initiative. Listed below is some of the data that can be found in each respective agency site:

1. Agency for international development - It is an independent federal government agency that focuses on providing humanitarian and economic assistance so as to ensure a better future for us all. They have a network of over 100 countries.

2. Department of Commerce - This department promotes and fosters economic development and technological advancement of the country by enforcing vigilance in the international trade policy, promoting economic progress at various levels and promoting domestic business policy and growth.

3. Department of Education - This department ensures that education is equally accessible to all and also promotes excellence in education through efficient coordination and management as well as full accountability in federal education programs. It aims at supplementing and complementing educational efforts at various levels by encouraging the public, parents and students to be more involved.

4. Department of Energy - The goal of this department is to improve economic, energy and national security in the country and to promote scientific and technological innovation so as to support the goal and to make sure that the nuclear weapons complex is environmentally cleaned.

5. Department of Health and Human Services - This is the federal government's principal agency that protects the health of Americans and provides essential human services particularly to those that cannot help themselves.

6. Department of Homeland Security - This department has 3 primary missions: preventing terrorist attacks within the country, reduce the country's vulnerability to terrorism and to minimize damage from potential attacks or natural disasters.

7. Department of Justice - It enforces law and defends interests of the country, ensuring that the public is safe against all threats whether foreign or domestic. It also provides leadership to prevent and control crime, seeks just punishment for the guilty in unlawful pursuits and ensures fair and impartial administration of justice for all citizens of the country.
